This Evening

This Evening
by Ananya S Guha

This evening
it is different
as the asphalt on the road
melts into tears in my eyes

It is different as your bird's nest eyes
ask the question that cannot be answered,
as I am waylaid by feelings
trapped into death wish
which only the sullen crow knows

It is different this evening
as a poem that hurts fades
into oblivion of giving and taking.
